Swayam Siddha Annual Day held with much fanfare
Swayam Siddha Society celebrated its Annual Day Event with a lot of fun filled performances & honoured many digitaries & wellwishers.
The Annual Day event of Swayam Siddha Society was a super hit show. The event saw more than 100 members in audience who stayed till the end savoring the special dances & music programmes by our members.
Our members had specially trained for the program and underwent many rehearsal sessions. On the day of the annual day, they were all dressed in their best and performed their item fearlessly in front of the audience. The audience was thrilled by all the performances & cheered along to encourage them.
The program began with welcoming the dignitaries and inviting them to Light the Special Lamp as is a part of Indian tradition. It was followed by a beautiful rendition of "Swagatham" song by Leena Shah. We then took the audience on a trip to various Indian States - begining with Rajasthan (Vidhi performed on Ghoomar), then to Dwarka, Gujarat (Heenal performed on Kanha So jaa zara). The audience was taken to Punjab by a team of 4 women who enthralled the audience and also made us all shake a leg to high energy Punjabi numbers. Finally, we all came back to Maharashtra with the help of Vaishali & team who did a Agri-koli dance ( a dance form of Maharastran fisherfolk).
We then moved on to a presentation about Swayam Siddha - our past, present & future goals. We pitched in our appeal to the audience who all promised to help in whichever way possible. The special guests & other dignatories were invited on stage and presented to with a momento & Tulsi plant gratifying them for their contribution to Swayam Siddha.
Subsequently, we had a Mangesh on stage with Manisha taking us to the era of 80s with the song 'Dafliwale'. A Navratri number, Kamariya done by a brother-sister duo also was a super hit.
The program was concluded the program with Vote of Thanks, post which the National Anthem was sung by everyone.
Our stall which displayed our products also saw many guests admiring and purchasing them. The event was a complete success. The members & guests equally had a great time.
